Welcome to Woodinville

The fairytale region of the Pacific Northwest.

Come to Woodinville for a luxurious, weekend destination appeal. This rapidly growing city lives just a few minutes from downtown Bellevue, and attracts thousands of visitors every year, but it still manages to maintain the charm of a little-known secret. There’s so much to do here; from horseback riding to hot air ballooning and live music venues (Beach Boys, Steve Miller Band, Toby Keith, and  Norah Jones, in 2022 alone), Woodinville never fails to surprise and delight. Soon you’ll see why locals and tourists alike are raising their glasses to toast Woodinville, one of Washington State’s best communities.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here you’ll find a strong farm-to-table attitude paired with a picturesque setting, a few minutes from the tech hubs of Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond. Silicon Valley meets Sonoma.

THE LIFESTYLE

Movies in the park. Soccer, cheer squads, Lacrosse. Hot air balloons drifting by on a lazy Summer day. Kids riding their bikes to school like we did way back then. Jumping in the swimming hole; chasing fireflies. Epic 4th of July parties and walking barefoot in the grass at sunset. Backyard barbecues where everyone’s a neighbor. A quick stop at a farmer’s market or wine tasting on the way home from a day at the office. Soccer, cheer squads, Lacrosse, and horse camp. Neighbors are family. Skis and snowboards. Genteel country living with some of the fastest Broadband around.

UNEXPECTED APPEAL

There’s so much more than award-winning wine (although we have that, too).
You can have a once-in-a-lifetime experience every weekend. You’ll feel like a tourist in your own backyard.

What you’ll love

Wineries, Breweries, Kayaking, Fine Dining in a farm to table environment. Never too far from the bustling metropolis of downtown Bellevue and SeaTac airport. Top rated educational possibilities.

In September 1871, Ira and Susan Woodin and their two daughters Helen (7) and Mary (4) traversed Lake Washington from Madison Park on a barge loaded with the tools they would need to build a trading outpost and farm along the shores of the Sammamish River. The Woodin cabin became the first post office, trading post and Sunday School in the new territory. In 1888, the Seattle-Lake Shore & Eastern Railway arrived and accelerated the development of the Sammamish Valley.  Woodinville remained a relatively small town (that boasted one stoplight and one grocery store) until the arrival of Microsoft in nearby Redmond. The beauty of Woodinville’s abundant nature and proximity to amenities began a massive growth spurt as the Woodinville lifestyle gained recognition. In 1975 the historic Stimson Manor was purchased and transformed into the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in 1975. Woodinville is now as recognized for its thriving artisanal wine and microbrewing industry as for genteel country living minutes from the bustling technology and innovation hubs of Bellevue, Kirkland, and Seattle.
